A Mythological RoundTable ® Group (MRT) is a gathering of people drawn
together by a deep and abiding interest in all things mythological. Much like the Round Table of yore, it is a place where
individual and community come together - a place to play, plan, create, partake in ritual, and share tales of our own quests
with companions well met. But JCF Mythological RoundTable ® Groups do more than just enrich the individual; they also
offer the opportunity to introduce the work of Joseph Campbell to the wider community, carrying his vision off the page and
out into the real world.

Conversations of a Higher Order:
Myth, Madness & Merriment!
Are you passionate about the life of the mind? Do you have a growing suspicion that mythology and the longings of the soul are more important than you thought in your wild and reckless youth? (smile) Does the idea of a gathering of like-minded folks, centered on a topic of shared interest sound more appealing than standing around in tight shoes drinking martinis? Are you growing weary of living your entire social life on Facebook? If so, you belong with us!
The Chicago group is growing slowly back from being dormant for some time. We’ve started in with a series of monthly conversations on topics brought forward by the group. At this time we seem to be a mixed bunch – equal numbers men and women who tend a bit to the grayer side, but everyone is welcome! We move our feast from home to home in the Chicagoland area so no one feels over-extended.
In the past two months we have covered the topics of SOUL & MONEY, and THE ANCESTORS. For February we are looking at RITUAL & THE SPIRITUAL LIFE. There is no telling what topic may come up next, so join us for an evening and throw your desired subject into the mix.
We always bring food and drink to share and we’ve been numbering about a dozen folks each time we meet. We like the intimacy of this size and may split off if we get bigger. From time to time Rebecca offers some larger event of interest to lovers of myth. If you have a bigger idea, feel free to bring it forward and see if enough folks want to work on it with you and make it happen.
