:D Always liked to recite this poem as a sort of invocation before any introspective task. god within me, god without, how shall I ever be in doubt? there is no place that i may go, and not there see god's face, not know. I am god's vision and god's ears, so through the harvest of my years I am the ...

So I just had one of the worst nightmares of my life last night. Started a dream journal this morning. I'm at work and don't have a whole lot of time to browse the internet / find a GOOD source. Does anyone know off hand a good book or internet link to read about nightmares? I've read little enough ...

Not sure if there is any correlation in it, but whenever I significantly alter my diet in the course of a day, i.e. eat a whole box of oreos, maybe have a bit too much wine, or spend the day fasting, my dreams are strange indeed. I don't know if the influx of sugar, alcohol, or few nutrients at all ...

I agree. I prefer working things out on my own, rather than seeking social support...just my personality. But I can rarely go it alone, and I find these particular tools, Runes and the like, as with dreams, to be excellent 'channels into the unconscious mind' (as you said!).

And there is the key. We don't learn, not really anyway. Or not enough to change. And that is who we are.

Ragnarok approaches. The wolf calls are in the air. Will you fight?

Oracles

I have been practicing the art of Rune Casting for several years now. I was given a set of them as a kind of hokey christmas gift...gosh I can't remember exactly when, 15 or 16. And went back to them after my freshman year in college, when I discovered Joseph Campbell. Oddly enough, at about the sam...

Truth: I love Neo's sig... Anyway! I can't answer you there, but I ask another question: Does basic training teach or condition open mindedness (if that is the policy), or does it simply restrict closed mindedness, like pavlov's dog..."when confronted with X situation, subject keeps mouth shut"? Or ...

You are right. Sorry, shouldn't be venting here. I feel low because of it. Ahem. May I ask what you are looking for with these posts? What is your background, what do you do? It is neat that you are passionate enough to write these lengthy posts. Could you hypothesize some changes or answers that by...

I don't know, maybe it isn't spam, but it isn't helpful. Jonsjourney is right, there is always hope. (Goethe said somewhere in Werther that (and I paraphrase, don't have the book on hand), "A bad mood is the absolute final sin." Humans fully deserve the punishment they are going to get in the near f...

In fact...this is just a spammed message. If everyone realized that except me until now, go ahead and laugh, I've earned it.

This thread really saddened me. Sushil_yadav sounds scary, and kind of impersonal, like a big old pamphlet preaching death and destruction, slinging facts like stones. There are a lot of assumptions and ideas I don't think are fully thought out. Best not to think in absolutes. Easy to talk about pro...

This all sounds very spooky. I read through this three times and still don't understand what you are asking. I'd love to discuss this further, but perhaps if you restated the problem this would be possible. What race is on? Do you mean: Are 'we' truly devolving? Or are you immune to this? There are ...

Transformations

I am almost 24 now, and the last year or so has been one of immense change. A lot of it was painful, scary, exhilarating and everything else. I am writing now because I see myself finally beginning to even out again, feel confidence in myself and decisions for the first time in a while, and really e...

Candles

I wonder, which Native peoples were you talking about specifically? This could be a symptom of geography / climate. While I am not sure, it is possible that native cultures were not able to craft candles as easily as those in the West. But then again, not much to candle making, no matter where you a...

I have no problem seeing the world with awe. In fact I am, daily, blown away by something or other. Today it was leaving the office to get lunch, and I was struck by the utter weirdness of being a little vehicle of consciousness moving around. Why is it this way? It is a mundane thought, but the fee...
