So, who are the great current teachers on myth. The people who have picked up the baton . And what books, papers, etc would be good to read?

Hi, Sand here. Writer/musician/lecturer. And new to this forum.

As a writer, I look to a character to reveal his/her strengths and flaws. I then seek to devise a story to put these opposing forces at play.

Now, my question. What are your favourite myths that test character flaws ?

Last year I witnessed Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians. Played live in my home town. A true revelation. IIt saw me through the new year. Truly psychedelic, music to get lost in. Stunning.
