Melbourne Roundtable

Clemsy,

Unfortunately it was not. I was going through a range of challenges at the time and did not pursue it any further. Nor was there any response to the original post indicating any interest. Evinnra PM'd me about it, but that was all. Not sure if she is even around anymore....

The first was established in Sydney/Canberra. I am uncertain what its status is now as I live in Central Victoria.

Birth of the sun for you folks in the North. Exact opposite for us down under. Rather for us - Christmas / Solstice is the birth of the fun. Time to enjoy the sun.

Yeehah. Now Christmas can begin. The reappearance of Clemsy's Christmas thread is the signal to get the alcohol out, start smoking the turkey in the weber and ordering the prawns (shrimp to all you northerners). Also breaking out the dive gear, testing, checking, then loading. 23 December - pack smo...

A New Round Table - Melbourne Australia

Hi folks,

We are looking to establish the second Australian roundtable down in Melbourne. Initial venue will be Young and Jacksons opposite the Flinders Street station. Anyone interested please contact myself or Evinnra.

Okay - I am going to venture into this conversation. Nandu: Some great points in your last post. As you know I am an Engineer too. Now one of the things I find in our profession appearing are those who are, in many ways, philosophers of engineering. None are trained as philosophers, but as we design...

I would like to place before you another way of looking at this question. There is an all too frequent tendency in many of us to stand outside and cast stones through the stained glass windows of other people's belief systems. Whilst it is true, for example, that the Catholic church has left itself ...

Architecture as An Expression of Human Aspiration

Hi Guys, In my very occasional quiet hours I like to write to myself in that internet form known as "the blog". Frequently they come about because of some odd thing someone said which sets off an even odder thought in my mind. Anyway - an ignorant architect led to one that the more creative elements...

By the way - for those who are newer to the forum, several years ago there was a series of threads on core principles like persona and ego and Self. Some of the discussion in these threads has been invaluable in my own work... You can find these threads through the search function ...

Hi Guys, A fascinating thread. Timely that I had a quiet monent to drop in to a place I love to be but which I rarely have had time to be due to the demands of working / writing my PhD. I would like to drop in an alternative viewpoint on the whole issue of persona. My PhD is focussed on human factor...

Good morning from Australia. Just wanted to mention that a Jungian Analyst by the name of Daryl Sharp has put together a VERY useful lexicon of Jungian Terms. I use this reference regularly, although in this case there was no hint to help with this enquiry. The lexicon can be obtained at: http://www...

Bliss - ah bliss... If you have read the blog I wrote this month you will see that for the bliss is at the conjunct between what I love to do and the ability to aid others.. So while we cannot be responsible for their response, we can use our bliss to at least help them find the stable launching poi...

I feel the need to respond to the feelings implicit in the original few posts in this thread. I have been a largely quiet contributor to the JCF forums for (I think) about 5 years now. The first thread I participated in, and through which I introduced myself to the JCF family, was a long discussion ...

The Universe Responds... somehow

I write this in a state of surprise about where my journey is taking me. As many long time associates know, for a long time now I have been working on a PhD, looking at human response to crisis and the design of environments to support crisis response. In August last year I started my own company to...

nandu, Creativity exists in all fields. I certainly not an artists - my writing leans towards the technical rather than the creative and I am an engineer. I found my bliss in IT design at the conjunct between engineering and human factors / human centred design. At the point where these fields inter...
