For any metaphor to dominate all others, it must carry the weight of fundamental significance. If the human is now the picture of the Source and Creator and Saviour, it is because no other entity embodies these characteristics like the Mother, the Father and the Son. They are human archetypes that give birth, provide sperm and die for the benefit of dependents and subordinates. In the universe, they are the earth source, the cosmic creation and the returning sun.
These functions are an incomplete set of primary symbols in service of the human species. Another function could not be articulated with force and effect but for Einstein and DMT research. The realization of the shared experience of a human consciousness that not only survives death but exists separate from the body and brain requires the metaphor of the free spirited entity that embodies the guiltless, well-loved, long-lived, happy, learned, articulate, compassionate and immortal soul. It is the necessary fourth pillar of the human family--the daughter. This iconic archetype may get beat up and raped and humiliated. She makes embarrassing mistakes and spoils the purity of the virgin mother by enjoying sexuality and owning her decision to embrace all her super powers.
Humanity is on the precipice of great leaps of evolution, and the supremacy of this daughter metaphor will allow the species to go to the next level. Without this symbol, humans understand their evolutionary origins, their succinct beginning, and the capacity to overcome the savage impact of the death of the body, but we have not achieved the latest advancement of the species. In the next chapter of the human experience, humans are free of the body entirely. Humans are spirit, soul, love, life and all that is enlightened. Humanity is transcendence itself; living by a code of honor to be kind and helpful to all, to be both honest and diplomatic, and to advance the good of every entity by the best means possible.
No more crosses to bear. The daughter lives in long, happy prosperous co-existence with all of nature. She is the flower of humanity (and a blooming idiot?).....
Joseph Campbell believed that "...each of us has an individual myth that's driving us, which we may or may not know." This forum is for assistance and inspiration in the quest to find your own personal mythology.
