Mythological RoundTable® Group of Salt Lake City, UT
About Events Blog Contact

MRT of Salt Lake City meets at member houses every 8 – 12 weeks. Weekend evenings are our favorite gathering times. We share a potluck dinner,  tell stories, and discuss myth. As in King Arthur’s court, the feast must begin with the tale of an adventure!

Since the group began meeting in 2014, we have read Campbell’s “Masks of God: Primitive Mythology,” “The Hero With A Thousand Faces,”  “The Inner Reaches of Outer Space,”  and “Myths To Live By.” Occasionally, we venture into original works such as “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” and “Tristan and Iseult.” At some point, we will join the hero Gilgamesh as he swims to the bottom of the depths to bring up the plant of immortal life.
