Pack a lunch and pick a seat for our third and final meeting of Fall 2019. This time around, we’ll be discussing mythological and pop cultural depictions of an everlasting cycle of rebirth. As per usual, we’ll touch on age-old tales, symbolic depictions of the cosmos, social expectations, and personal journeys of discovery.
I am elated to announce the first meeting of the The Joseph Campbell Foundation Mythological RoundTable® Group of Manchester, MD. This group has been conceived by public school teachers with a passion for mythology and the Hero’s Journey.
Our first meeting will consist of the following:
- “Myth and Me”
- Goals of our group
- Plan next meeting
We are very excited to get started and look forward to a future indulging in and sharing the wonderment of myth.

Speaker: Siofra O’ DONOVAN –Author and Writing Coach, completed an MA in Indo-Tibetan studies at SOAS in University of London. One of Siofra’s books, Lost In Shambhala, is travelogue about Tibetans in exile. BOOK INFO .

The Salt Lake MRT is reading Rollo May’s book “Cry for Myth.” At the December gathering, we will discuss Chapters 3, 4 and 5.
