PURCHASING YOUR E-BOOK
E-BOOK FILE FORMATS

After you have completed your purchase, you will receive an email confirming the website transaction. The email will include a link to your e-Book.

  • If you can’t find your email confirmation, look in your spam folder.

  • If you are still having trouble locating your email, contact us at info@jcf.org.

MOBI

Works with all Kindle eReaders and tablets and most devices using the Kindle app.

EPUB

​Works with iBooks, Nook and Nook apps, Kobo and Kobo apps, Adobe digital editions, and many other eReaders.  

DOWNLOADING YOUR E-BOOK

APPLE  devices
(iPad, iPhone, or Mac)

  1. Click the download link in your email, which downloads a zip file

  2. Click on the zip file, which places it in your downloads folder.

  3. In your downloads folder, click on the zip file and select either the MOBI or EPUB version, depending on what eReader platform you use.

  4. Select “Open in”

  5. Select your eReader app:

  • If you downloaded MOBI format, choose Kindle app

  • If you downloaded EPUB format, choose iBooks app

  • For all other eReaders apps, use the EPUB format  

KINDLE devices
(Touch, Paperwhite, Fire)

  1. Click the download link in your email, which downloads a zip file

  2. Click on the zip file, which places it in your downloads folder.

  3. In your downloads folder, click on the zip file and select either the MOBI or EPUB version, depending on what eReader platform you use.

  4. Double click the MOBI file and the book will load into your library

WINDOWS or LINUX

  1. Click the download link in your email, which downloads a zip file

  2. Click on the zip file, which places it in your downloads folder.

  3. In your downloads folder, click on the zip file and select either the MOBI or EPUB version, depending on what eReader platform you use.

  4. Open the file that corresponds with your eReader:

  • Open the MOBI file for the Kindle app

  •  Open the EPUB file for all other apps

ANDROID devices

  1. Click the download link in your email, which downloads a zip file

  2. Click on the zip file, which places it in your downloads folder.

  3. In your downloads folder, click on the zip file and select either the MOBI or EPUB version, depending on what eReader platform you use.

  4. Open the file that corresponds with your eReader:

  • Open the MOBI file for the Kindle app    

  • Open the EPUB file for all other apps

CALIBRE EBOOK READER

Calibre is, a freeware, open-source app that can read most file formats.
